Design is...

Everything.

It is the bed we sleep on, the tooth brush we brush our teeth with, the clothes we wear, the doors we open, the steps we walk down, the car we drive, the road we drive on, and the signs we obey.

We are constantly bombarded with design whether or not we constitute it as design or not.

I completely agree! Design is everything. And even more than what everything looks like that we buy and the advertisements we see and clothes we wear, how we act is a design as well. I'm about to graduate with a BA in theatre and I've come to realize that how a person acts and behave in any given circumstance is nothing more than his or her own design. Our own insides and how our mind works and the feelings that we show to others are our designs functioning for an audience. If someone cries easily, it might be said that he/she "is just an easy crier" signifying that we are all a simple matter of innate design. Everything and everyone is design to serve a particular function and because of that, since design is EVERYTHING, I know I always have to be careful to look through the outside design of a person and into the true inside design of an individual.
